Here is a great reason to learn what makes good design: Because tech is changing to increasingly empower the small business owner, the teen with a cool idea to spread, the start-up charity. But as amazing as PageCloud is (and it IS amazing), it cannot help you know what websites are worthy of your modelling. There are tools that can help you analyze the functionality of a website but we know of no tools that can analyze the aesthetics of a website.
Creativity and artfulness, aesthetics and design, are still skills for which we need humans. Where can you learn what makes good design and how to analyze it for the demographic you are serving (like, high school students in California, or moms living in Eastern Canada, as examples)?
Are you on Instagram? Do you like pretty pictures? Do you like being creative? Do you like good design? You want to be inspired?
www.instagram.com/summityearbooks is not just about yearbooks. Yes, we want to teach teens how to be creative, how to design, how to tell stories-- and we use the high school experience as the story to tell and the yearbook as the platform and medium.
But ALSO, we are offering lessons and inspirations for anyone. Many people need and want better understanding about design and unleashing their creative skills and thinking. It's scary to some people! They don't know how to spot trends; how to portray things in ways that will be attractive to others (in particular, those with the money to buy what you're putting out there); how to SHOW that they GET IT, that they spot things, that they're in the know, that they know things FIRST and not five years after the established trend. And how do we balance being mainstream and trendy?
We will be slowly showing people how to do this. Teens are starting out learning these things, and as they are planning and building their futures, they are our target audience, but it's never too late to learn!
Please follow us and get inspired and eventually, we will have comprehensive courses for you. Or follow just to support us! Or share with someone you think would like our account! Thank you!! XO ... See MoreSee Less
This is one to bookmark, to Pin on Pinterest, to watch over and over. But only if you're someone who wants to create things, is a perfectionist, doesn't know what you want to do with your life, or feels dejected at trying to get recognition for a thing.
How many yearbook covers or pages don't get done on time because of perfectionism?
